Calculating invoices while accounting for cancelled invoices and bottle returns, as well as the Swiss recycling fees for different types of containers, presented a major challenge. We held several meetings with the Sales and Accounting Teams to develop a comprehensive fee chart and script to generate accurate invoices.
The CRM needed to be made compatible with Abacus accounting System. At the end of each month, the Accounting department generated an XML of the total of all invoices from the CRM and imported to Abacus. Abacus had different set of rules for accepting digits like numeric fields allowed till 2 decimal places, yet the recycling fee had 3 decimal places. To address this concern, we introduced a complex rounding off system, which generated an Abacus compatible XML without affecting the invoicing and recycling fee.
The Sales Team needed an ‘Easy Search’ function to find the nearest customer while on the move. We used the organization’s co-ordinates and an automation tool to locate the nearest customer within a certain distance of the sales rep. A SQL query displayed top 10 customer details, enabling quick deal closures and a surge in sales.
To manage variable pricing for products with special prices, we created a Settings menu that allowed the customer to add prices and durations for each product. The solution streamlined the sales process and was highly appreciated.
We addressed the CEO’s concerns about wastage of sugar and other raw materials during the production cycle. To make the production process more efficient and profitable, we calculated the amount of wastage and set automatic notifications to alert the remote admin office when the reorder level of each product was reached. We designed a tablet-friendly dashboard with a user-friendly interface that accommodated factory managers who may be wearing gloves. The ideal production composition was prompted to minimize input, and the production details were sent in real-time to the admin office to manage raw materials consumption and availability.
